EL USO DE SOME AND ANY
SOME y ANY son los cuantificadores más usados en inglés y generalmente funcionan como el plural de A/AN.
Usamos SOME y ANY cuando no nos importa si la cantidad es grande o pequeña:
There are SOME letters for you. (no especificamos cuántas cartas)
Usamos SOME para:
.Oraciones AFIRMATIVAS--There are some eggs in the fridge.
There is some milk in the fridge.
.Preguntas en las que esperamos como repuesta un sí--Have you got some pencils in that box?
.Invitaciones en las que que esperamos como respuesta un sí--Would you like some coffee?
May i have some orange juice?
.Para significar algunos pero no todos-- Some dogs eat carrots.
Usamos ANY para:
.Oraciones negativas que contienen not or n´t--There isn´t any milk in the fridge.
.Preguntas en las que esperamos como repuesta un no--Have you got any pencils in that box?
.Con la expresión "at all"-- I don´t have any idea at all about what happened.
